Viking - a leading manufacturer of fiberglass yachts
A North American yacht manufacturer, the Viking shipbuilding company is widely known in North America. The company was founded in 1964 by the brothers Bob and Bill Hiley after they bought the small company Peterson-Viking Builders in New Jersey, specializing in the construction of 11-meter sports fishing boats. Today, the company, which has a half-century history, has become the world's largest manufacturer of fiberglass yachts and managed to produce more than 4,000 models.
Viking has large yacht production capacities - more than 90% of all components and construction works are carried out by the company on its own. The exception is motors, pumps, air conditioners and electronics, which the company purchases from leading manufacturers of relevant equipment.
Viking has six yacht production lines that allow the manufacture of motor yachts from 14 to 23 meters in length up to one hundred yachts annually. The company also provides warranty service and repair of fiberglass elements and yacht running gears at its new facility located in Florida.
