Like most "immigrants" from China, HDX outboard motors are made in the image of the Yamaha and Tohatsu outboard. Produces their Suzhou Parsun Power Machine Co. The company was founded in 1995 in Jiangsu Province. Under the modern name, the company has been operating since 2001, after the formation of a joint venture with American Motenergy, Inc., located in the US state of Wisconsin.

The factory where HDX motors and inflatable boats are made is located in Suzhou, not far from Shanghai, the largest sea port in China. HDX boats and motors are not the whole range of Suzhou Parsun Power Machine. The company produces generators, pumps, gasoline and electric motors, and, according to its own patented technologies.

The company is the largest exporter of gasoline engines and outboard engines (HDX and Parsun) in China. The production of Suzhou Parsun Power Machine outboard motors has been involved since 1968. Also, in order to develop the main components for powerful outboard engines, the company collaborates with the OMC (manufacturer of Evinrude outboard motors). Japanese partners are making motors for leading brands.
